Cumming IUDsNorth Pointe OB/GYN Associates offers a variety of methods for contraception including Intrauterine Devices (IUDs) to patients in Cumming and the surrounding areas. We are a comprehensive Obstetrics and Gynecology practice located in Cumming, Georgia and serving the communities north of Atlanta. Our medical staff includes four experienced OB/GYN physicians and four Certified Nurse-Midwives. Our doctors and Certified Nurse-Midwives provide sensitive and compassionate health care for women of all ages.

Atlanta IUD Options

If you live north of Atlanta and are looking for a qualified Gynecologist who offers contraceptive options including IUDs, call North Pointe OB/GYN Associates. An IUD is a female form of contraceptive placed in the uterus. The advantages of using an IUD are long (5 to 10 years) protection and ease of use. Depending on the product, IUDs may cause menstrual cycles to be heavier, or in some cases, lighter or even absent. IUDs have a slight risk of causing a serious pelvic infection and are ideally suited for women who are between children or women who have completed their families. 

The physicians and Certified Nurse-Midwives at North Pointe OB/GYN Associates are highly trained and have extensive experience inserting IUDs. Our practitioners perform this procedure in the comfort of our medical office. We offer both the ParaGard T-380A and Mirena ® IUDs. As this form of contraception is not right for everyone, our doctors and Certified Nurse-Midwives are available to counsel patients on the different contraception options available and help determine if an IDU is right for you.
