Our medical staff includes four experienced OB/GYN physicians and four Certified Nurse-Midwives. A Hysteroscopy is a procedure that enables a physician to look at the inside of a patient’s uterus with an endoscope. This procedure can be used to help find fibroids (myomas or tumors) or polyps that have developed in the uterus and may be causing severe cramping, heavy periods or bleeding between periods. A Hysteroscopy can easily be performed in the office and does not require any down time for the patient.  The scopes used today are so thin that there is minimal discomfort to the patient during a Hysteroscopy procedure.

The physicians at North Pointe OB/GYN Associates are highly trained and have extensive experience performing Hysteroscopy procedures. If you are experiencing symptoms such as severe cramping, heavy periods or bleeding between periods, our physicians can perform a Hysteroscopy procedure on you to determine the cause of the problem. Once the physician locates the problem, he or she may be able to remove the problem in the same visit.
